NatZen is a sustainable skincare brand. Our love for the earth and all things natural goes beyond our skincare products. Showing our love and appreciation and giving back is a mission we have set out to accomplish.
We are excited to be partnering with the non-profit – One Tree Planted!
With every product you buy, we can plant one tree! We give back together.
Trees clean our air and water, create habitats for biodiversity, contribute to our health and wellbeing, and create jobs for social impact. We are honoured to participate in reforestation through One Tree Planted as a fundamental part of our business model.
One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) non-profit on a mission to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees. Their projects span the globe and are done in partnership with local communities as well as knowledgeable experts to create impact for nature, people, and wildlife. Reforestation helps to rebuild and restore biodiversity. Projects with overlapping objectives create a combination of benefits that contribute to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Sustainable Eco-friendly Packaging
Postal Packaging:
We aim to package with sensitivity. Our packaging is very simple, plastic-free and mostly made from recycled or kraft paper.
We reuse & recycle packaging from the ingredients we receive. This involves reusing any bubble wrap and outer packaging that comes to us.
Wholesale orders go out with no plastic void fill and in reused boxes and packaging.
Product Packaging
Where possible we use recyclable and biodegradable packaging. For products such as soaps/shampoo bars we use no packaging at all, and will continue this practice as part of our contribution towards saving our beautiful planet earth.
Our product packaging includes:
- Glass bottles/jars - easily recyclable at your local bottle bank or recycling centre.
- Aluminium containers/lids - recyclable time and again without losing any of its properties. All containers must be clean for recycling.
- Kraft paper – 100% biodegradable and can be placed in organic waste collection bins.
- Glassine paper - made from wood pulp. Glassine is fully recyclable and biodegradable.
- Eco-friendly paper - we use bio-degradable labels and paper packaging that is also bio-degradable and recyclable.
Beauty with Results
Recognizing the potential in botanical ingredients is something that NatZen was built upon. When the founder started studying Herbalism she was so surprised by the many beneficial properties that plants that can be found on our doorstep contain.
Examples of these include Common Plantain which contain a substance called allantoin that is highly beneficial for soothing skin and promoting new cell growth. Calendula – is the super plant for irritated acne-prone skin, the same is Chamomile because of its anti-inflammatory and soothing properties.
Every formulation is packed with plants that are addressing particular skin problems & boost the skin’s natural protective qualities. At NatZen we are always ceaselessly searching for the most effective ingredients that produce the most impactful, visible, beautiful results.
Ingredients
Palm-free
Palm oil production is responsible for 10% of total greenhouse gas emissions. It has killed at least 100,00 critically endangered Bornean orangutans along with countless other animals. At NatZen we care deeply about our planet and its inhabitants; therefore we pledge to avoid using palm in anything, instead opting for alternatives.
Natural, holistic & naturally derived
We are plant lovers. We firmly believe that different plants contain many powerful properties therefore we incorporate their healing oils & extracts in all of our products. The natural elements of plants can be well-tolerated by all skin types, giving great results.
Each formulation is carefully researched and revised to create a balanced mixture of ingredients. As with everything grown naturally these can vary from crop to crop and from year to year. Hence, we do allow for a degree of variation between batches of product in characteristics such as colour and smell.
Vegan
We have a zero tolerance policy on animal products. NatZen’s products are all vegan. We thoroughly research ingredients for our formulations to ensure we remain a vegan brand. This includes no use of beeswax in any of our products.
Cruelty-Free
We do not test on animals. No product is tested on animals by any third party on our behalf either. We do not sell anywhere that requires the testing of products on animals, and we pledge never to do so, irrespective of financial gains.
Paraben Free/Synthetic Fragrance-Free/Silicone Free
We do not use synthetic preservatives such as parabens, or synthetic fragrances in NatZen’s formulations. No silicones, chemicals or nasties. Simply the good stuff that nourishes your skin from the outside. Our products contain effective antioxidants to protect your skin from environmental stressors.
We know our pure beauty products are better for your health, your skin, the planet and our animals. We know our products have the desired effect.
